The Partido Humanista (PH - Humanist Party) is the Spanish branch of the
Humanist Movement.
Among the founders of Izquierda Unida (IU), the Partido Humanista was expelled a few months later from the coalition when its "picturesque"
features were unveiled.
The Humanist Movement succeeded a sect called La Comunidad (The
Community), founded in 1977 by the Argentine visionary Silo (born Mario
Rodriguez Cobo; 1938-2010) from the groupies he had been gathering since
1960 in Punta de Vaca, close to the Chilean border. Later on, he studied
in Naples at the Tathagata esoteric school, where he was initiated to
magic rituals and renamed to Silo. He founded, together with the Twelve
Apostles, the Cronos occultist group in a remote place of the Andean
forest; the group was eventually suppressed by the police and Silo was
jailed for 11 days. Accordingly, his groupies presented him as a martyr
and claimed he was a messianic alien.
Emigrated to Chile under the name of Movimiento de la Religión Interior
(Movement of Inner Religion), the sect collaborated with the opponents
to Allende's regime, which did not prevent it to be suppressed once
again by Augusto Pinochet.
Silo eventually restructured the sect in Corfu, ordering his groupies to
"humanize the world". Silo's doctrin is an odd mixture of occultism,
belief to aliens, religious anarchism and economical self-management.

The flag of the PH (photo,

black, and the party's name beneath, in black italicized letters. This is the same as the flag of the Chilean party of the same name.
The symbol of the Partido Humanista is prescribed in Article 4 of the
party's Statutes (text) as "the orange flag with the Möbius strip".
